The Impact of Gender-Based Violence in the Workplace
Gender-based violence is a common, complex, and consequential public health epidemic that encompasses intimate-partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, and sexual harassment. More than half of all full-time working adults will work alongside someone experiencing intimate-partner violence. Awareness of gender-based violence in the workplace is critical for any nonprofit, regardless of the type of work you do.
Please join Amber Malott of Women Helping Women as she shares important insights, including:
• Defining gender- based violence, its frequency and impact on employees
• The impact of gender-based violence on the workplace culture, safety and productivity
• Best practice methods for employers to support staff experiencing gender-based violence & increasing access to local resources

Better Together Series: Leveraging the Economic Impact of Our Nonprofit Sector

The findings gave credence to the economic ripple effect of our robust nonprofit sector in Greater Cincinnati. The report received widespread media coverage, but inquiring minds want know: what can WE do with the data? Join us for a deep dive into the report and bring your ideas about how we can leverage the findings for fundraising, policy advocacy, and public awareness.
Speakers:
Brad Evans, Co-Executive Director & Director of Research
The Alpaugh Family Economics Center, University of Cincinnati
Mike Moroski, Executive Director
Human Services Chamber of Hamilton County

Into the Woods: Leadership Challenge ® 3-day Experience

Nonprofit leadership matters, and there is no more important time to invest in staff that will continue to lead your nonprofit through these uncertain times.
Because of the generosity of our facilitator Steve Coats and Wiley Publishing, we can offer this program to your emerging leaders at a price far below market rate.
Three things we know about The Leadership Challenge® that differentiate it:
1. Attendees leave this session better able to lead in their role – immediately.
2. Research by Kouzes and Posner shows that leaders have a direct influence on the engagement levels of talent. The best leaders create the best workplaces.
3. People who more frequently use the leadership practices presented in the workshop produce higher results than those who use them less frequently.
Investing in growth opportunities for emerging nonprofit leaders is critical. At some organizations, there may not be an opportunity to “climb the ladder,” but there is always an opportunity to develop within a role. This can come in the form of learning key principles like the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®.
The Leadership Challenge® includes a 360-degree assessment, the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI), which is a simple, 30-question inventory. The feedback it provides people with a solid roadmap for change.
This is a great program for a few employees to participate together so they can bring the learning back to your organization as a team. Studies show that leadership development helps with employee experience and retention.
We encourage you to respond promptly as the program is limited to 24 participants and a max of 3 people per organization.
